My hubby had the most dumbfounded look on his face when I told him I was writing about conditioner that I loved. After all this time, he still doesn’t get it… hair is that interesting to me.
I purchased this Mill Creek Botanicals conditioner from the local health/nutrition store where I probably spent 30 minutes looking over all the available conditioners’ ingredients and I was impressed with the ingredients in this brand. I liked that it contained Rosemary because I am interested in it as an ingredient for helping my hair to grow. It appears that all of the ingredients are natural and/or of very low toxicity.
The company claims the conditioner, which carries the certified organic seal, has no parabens or sulfates, and is gluten-free. They also state the product is made in the US, animal cruelty-free and has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I can jump on board this train!
BUT HOW DOES IT STACK UP AGAINST OTHER COMMERCIAL CONDITIONERS?
Fabulously! What I love about this conditioner:
- Quickly absorbs into my hair
- Doesn’t leave a greasy film, easily and quickly rinses out
- I don’t have to leave it on for several minutes to see a benefit
- Makes my dry and damaged hair softer
- Doesn’t weigh down my thin, fine hair
My hair is super dry and damaged from previous heavy highlighting and using the no-poo baking soda method. It’s also fine, frizzy and wavy. Now that I use this plus my concoction of leave-in conditioner/detangler/gel, my hair has improved greatly.
Check out their website as they have a bunch of other natural hair and skin care products. I will definitely be trying more of their offerings! http://millcreekbotanicals.com/
Side Note:
I know that many bloggers receive benefits from writing reviews of products and I don’t think anything is wrong with that. But understandably, as a reader, it can be difficult to tell how honest some of those reviews are. I get frustrated when I search the internet for an honest review and I can’t tell what is real in the sea of sponsored posts…
I’m only passionate about and spend time on those things that I genuinely feel positively about. To that end it may help you to know I have not been paid, given anything, promised anything, or profited in any way for doing this review. I am simply passing along, as a good friend would (hopefully), information about a product that I love and that has been useful to me!
If you have a favorite all-natural conditioner, commercial product or homemade, please let me know!
